Aston Martin took the veil of her new Virage Virage Volante and coupe. Sitting between the DBS and DB9, Virage builds on the technology of DBS, and unites with comfort and refinement in the DB9 and Fast.

The soft-top Volante and Virage coupe are both powered by handmade Company 6.0-liter V12 engine. Since the same product poweplant 477HP and 443 lb-ft of the DB9 and 517HP and 420 lb-ft of DBS, it is natural that the V12 would fit in between turns in terms of output delivering 490 hp and 420 lb.-ft. of peak couple. The standard transmission is a six-speed automatic Touchtronic 2 gearbox, helping to provide a time of 0-60 about 4.5 seconds, and plateaued at a peak speed of 186 miles per hour.

The suspension is double-wishbone on all four corners, with Aston Martin’s Adaptive Damping System (ADS) with Sport mode as standard equipment. Wheels are 20-inch alloys, mounted over carbon ceramic disc brakes at all four corners (six-piston calipers up front, four-piston units in the rear), with Pirelli P Zero tires standard.

On the outside, the Virage sports a new aluminium metal front grille with five horizontal vanes that’s inspired by the One-77, along with a redesigned front bumper, a fresh interpretation of Aston’s side strake with six LEDs on the front wings, different side sills and a re-profiled rear bumper. Inside, Aston Martin’s Virage models come with a full leather interior complete with colored piping and several standard features such as cruise control, satellite navigation, Bluetooth telephone preparation and a 700W Aston Martin Premium Audio System with Dolby Pro Logic II (Bang&Olufsen) and full iPod integration.

In coupe form, the Virage will be available as a 2+2 or a strictly two seater as an option, the latter providing a rear parcel shelf, while also reducing weight. The Aston Martin Virage will receive its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show next week and go on sale shortly after.

Aston Martin Virage Release at 2011 Geneva Auto Show

Aston Martin was release a new model, that is  Aston Martin Virage  and will make debut at 2011 Geneva Auto Show.The Virage has two body styles: a two-door coupe and a soft-top convertible. Aston Martin said in coupe form, the Virage is available as a 2+2 or 2+0 as an option.

The Virage’s mid-mounted 5.9-liter V12 makes 490 horsepower. It is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission. It accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 186 mph. The EPA has not yet provided a fuel-economy rating on the Virage.The cabin gets a full leather treatment, with sports seats and walnut trim. Standard equipment includes cruise control, satellite navigation, Bluetooth, a premium audio system and iPod integration.

Power for the Aston Martin Virage and the drop-top Virage Volante comes from a 6.0L V12 making 490-hp with a maximum torque of 420 lb-ft. The engine is mated 6-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission mounted on the transaxle helping with a 50:50 weight balance. The models also feature a newly developed Adaptive Damping System (ADS) that ‘reads’ the road to provide the best road holding, adapting to various conditions. Both come standard with Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) brakes.

It's officially official; Aston Martin today confirmed that the Toyota iQ-based Cygnet luxury city car is to go into production with sales to start in 2011. The British automaker said details on pricing and specification will be announced by the end of this year. However it is believed the Cygnet will cost between £30,000-50,000 in the UK, or about US$47,500-79,000 / €34,000 -57,000 at the current exchange rates, and will initially be sold only to existing Aston customers.

Originally designed to accept an all new V8 engine, unfortunately this was not ready in time for the cars launch, so it had to make do with the tried and tested DB6 engine. Three new models of the new DB9 are going to join the lineup of Aston Martin products. The event would be best labeled as a sports car bonanza. The names of the three models to come have been decided and are “Carbon Black”, “Quantum Silver” and “Morning Frost”. The cars would be available in coupe or convertible design.

The design of the Morning Frost model gives it a luxury car look and feel. It has a pearl white color as paint job and has silver for grille and brake calipers. The interior is done up with a center console that is piano Black in color scheme. The stitching is of silver color and there is polished glass switchgear along with bronze leather trim. For the Carbon Black model and the quantum Silver one, the makers have given it an aggressive look and touch as the model is leaning more towards the sports model. They even sport a blacked out grille and a sportier exhaust system with graphite tail pipes.

For wheels the cars come with two sets of 10 spoke 19 inch alloys for the three models, with slightly varying designs and black or silver finishes.

For transmission the cars are installed with Touchtronic II six-speed automatic transaxle transmission, mounted on the transaxle. As per company statement this mechanism gives the car a perfect 50:50 weight balance.

The DB9 coupe has a 6.0L engine. It has the same V12 engine as the Aston Martin Vanquish. With a width of 73.8 inches (over 6 feet), a height of 52 inches, and a length of 185 inches, it would be an understatement to say that the DB9 is a big GT. With such massive size in a coupe one might consider this machine cumbersome and slow. But underneath its bonnet lies a 450Hp power plant capable of raising the car to speeds over 180mph.
Announced in mid 2009, the first Cygnet's will start hitting the roads sometime in 2010. Despite its diminutive size the car certainly still has an Aston Martin price tag, expected to sell for around £30,000 ($50,000 USD). To retain exclusivity further still, the Cygnet will only be available to existing Aston Martin owners with annual production expected to be below 5000.

Despite the high cost, the Cygnet is not a bespoke design and is actually based on the Toyota iQ - a low cost micro car which originally launched in 2008.
